I played at Kuala Kubu Bharu Golf Club on Saturday 29th December 2012 with a few friends in 2 flights of mostly guys from Kelantan. I only knew 3 of them who are members of my home club, the Port Dickson Golf and Country Club. Mohd Kamal aka Moka33 organized the game and we teed off at about 0900 hrs. Most new guys found the golf course to be very challenging with dogleg and narrow fairways and blind tee shot. For me, it was a cruising day and I scored 84 on this Par 70 course with 7 Pars and 1 Birdie on the scorecard. There was no prize to winner but we all enjoyed our Chicken Rice lunch at the popular restaurant in Sg.Choh. Tomorrow I will play Bukit Beruntung Golf Club!
Have a nice golfing day!!
After having a great day yesterday at Kuala Kubu Bahru Golf Course, myself, Fareed, Mokhtar and Mansor tested the East Course at Bukit Beruntung. The East Course is the tougher course as opposed to the West Course and due to the rainy season this course really played long, at least for me. After breakfast at the Restaurant Salam 1Malaysia at nearby TESCO we started at the 1st tee, a Par 5 466 meter hole. I was the only one who found the fairway and scored a double bogey while the three of them got double par after each of them lost 2 balls to the right slopes!
The first nine score was terrible for them but decent for me, Fareed 64, Mokhtar 57, Mansor 53 and me 47 with one lone par at the Par 5 485 meter. My three flight mates at this stage already lost a total of 15 balls to the bushes and water! That's how terrible they played today.
I started the 2nd nine with a par at the difficult Par 4 357 index 8 tenth hole and a birdie 2 on the Par 3 165 meter 14th hole! The birdie putt was a pleasant surprise considering the putt was well beyond 30 feet! Mansor played much better on the second nine scoring 47 with three pars while Mokhtar and Fareed scored identical 59, me with a nice 43!
A joyful outing with friends at BBGC and we have lunch at the club after taking a hot shower. I had a wonderful rice with Gulai Nenas Ikan Masin priced at RM 9.90, it was worth it. The Green Fee paid as AGSSG member was RM 52 per person without caddy.
Although the scoring wasn't good but we enjoyed each other game, all the while giving and exchanging our 2 sen worth of tips!
And here is the final scorecard without hiding any blunders that day.
